General Principle of Operation
Sherlog SecurityCar systems operate, following the principle of radiolocation, which means that the miniature transmitters are installed in the customer’s vehicle and, in the event of theft, are activated either automatically or upon command from the Operational Control Center. The location of stolen vehicles can be identified by technical infrastructure, which covers the whole territory of the Republic of Lithuania and other neighboring countries. The aforementioned infrastructure consists of stationary radio-locators, search automobiles and airplanes.
Principle of Operation of "Sherlog SecurityCar"
The Operational Control Center is always ready to receive alarm signal from the automobile search system “Sherlog SecurityCar”. The system activates automatically, if the automobile is robbed. It is impossible to inhibit the signals sent by the system. The source of signal interference is seen on the computer monitor and the search of signal becomes easier, when cooperating with The Communications Regulatory Authority of the Republic of Lithuania.
The stolen automobile is visible on the computer even when it is hidden in closed premises,
marine-metal container, concrete shelter or underground.
The sensing element, installed in the automobile is activated and the Operational Control Center receives the alarm signal, which is confirmed by automobile’s owner.
A beacon identifies the location of automobile and then a mobile search group is sent which, together with Police finds the automobile and returns it to the owner.
"Sherlog SecurityCar" system is installed and operating in the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Latvia and Lithuania. The system is currently being installed in Poland, Belarus and the Kaliningrad Oblast. Mobile groups equipped with a powerful radio tracking system “Sherlog SecurityCar” work in these countries. The search is enhanced by police forces, present in the whole Lithuania. In other countries are used the police or other relevant services of those countries.
